Interim / Contract Assignments
The facts are that when between jobs, you are far more marketable to a permanent position if you are in a contract assignment than if you were immediately available.
Contracting and interim management work is becoming more and more popular with candidates and clients operating within the constant changes in economic and market pressures.
Contract / Interim work can offer you experience and greater exposure to different sectors, organisations and management practices which will enhance your skill base and ultimately make you more marketable. Coupled with this, interim / contract work can provide you with flexibility and a chance to plan a career break. Assignments can be based around a fixed term contract where you work on the client’s payroll for fixed period of time or more frequently operate through a timesheet system on a rolling week to week month to month contract.
If you are looking at interim / contract work on a more regular basis moving from contract to contract is important. Ensure you keep in constant dialogue with one of our team towards the end of any assignment. This way we can ensure we can organise your next contract well in advance. If you are also considering setting up your own limited company then please do not hesitate to contact one of our team for further details.
Tax and NI
If you work decide to work through our timesheet system on a PAYE (pay as you earn) basis then we will deduct tax and NI automatically. Your composite / umbrella company or your accountant will assist you with tax deductions if you are working through on a limited company basis.
