Writing a successful CV
Your CV is the singlest most important tool which will deliver your next ideal opportunity. Never understate the content, format and style of your CV.
The attached document should help you design your CV to maximise your chances of achieveing your goal.
Do's and Dont's
- If you are printing your cv, use a lazer printer with plain typeface on good quality white paper. No need to include photographs or fancy borders
- Dont worry about the CV going onto three and four sides but try to keep it down by keeping the cv up to date. At least one page should be dedicated to the details on the last three most recent roles then less detail on the rest. Two sides of A4 is the ideal length.
- Tailor the CV to every application and explain clearly any gaps
- If your sending your CV directly always include a well structured covering letter
- No need to include salary details. Hobbies and interests should be short but question provoking.
