A leading aerospace company in a period of expansion and change.

 

Role

The Facilities Engineer will report to the Facilities Manager and take responsibility for;

·          Ensuring all Capital Equipment & Asset inventory and usage programmes are up-to-date.

·          Develop maintenance logs and contracts.

·          Work closely with the Manufacturing team to ensure optimum equipment and services layouts to reduce WIP and waste through transport.

·          Liaise with site management to develop CAPEX justifications and equipment specifications as well as equipment lifecycle programmes.

·          Work closely with the Facilities Manager to select, appoint, manage & monitor contractors and OEM service staff and advise accordingly with regard to Quality, EHS & Security Polities.

·          Design, manage and coordinate installation programmes and works.

·          Ensure site layout, services drawings (electrical, pressure systems etc) and records are current and compliant.

·          Work with multi-disciplined teams to ensure project clarity and potential issues are addressed and resolved.

·          Assess and recommend service, specifically electrical supply, layouts and routings.

 

Person

The ideal candidates will hold an Engineering Degree and have comprehensive experience in designing and implementing CAPEX projects and optimising equipment layouts.
Aerospace experience is essential as is working with manufacturing and maintenance teams to ensure high productivity levels and planning within a manufacturing environment.
Experience of maintaining and configuring electrical supply systems is essential.
Candidates MUST be able to demonstrate clear examples of managing projects and an additional qualification in this is highly desirable
