Company: Our client is a specialist manufacturer of engineered components and assemblies to a diverse range of clients across a wide range of sectors.
Role Description: Reporting directly into the Group Quality Assurance Manager, this role is key to the further development of the businesses Operations. The role has responsibility for the company'™s quality processes / procedures, the responsibilities of the role include; · Responsibility for audits against ISO9000 / 2000 and TS16949 covering internal audits and managing external customer and supplier audits. · The effective management, development and utilisation of the companies Quality Engineers. · Further development of the companies Quality Systems. This will include initially improving the understanding of quality systems and developing processes to improve overall quality. · Develop robust, transparent quality processes that are fully utilised across the business. · Work with / develop relationships with customers to ensure all Quality issues are resolved and corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner. Also work alongside the companies Purchasing Department to resolve all supplier quality issues. · Running Quality Investigations to determine Root Cause (8D'™s, 5Why'™s etc) and implement permanent corrective actions. · Measurement & monitoring of internal & external suppliers to ensure conformity to quality targets. The role carries a very real opportunity to develop promotion to Quality Assurance Manager.
Personal Specification: The ideal candidate will be educated to at least HNC level in an engineering / quality related subject and will have experience within the automotive sector or have in depth experience in quality systems (Fishbone, Cause & Effect, Ishikawa). Key candidate requirements for the role include; · The ability to thrive in a hands on role, have real determination / drive and the ability to challenge existing procedures. The candidate must have excellent communication and influencing skills. · Have exposure to and understanding of ISO9000/2000 and TS16949 and experience in managing internal and external audits. · Have exposure to a machining / assembly / fabrication operations. · Have a track record of successfully developing and delivering a quality system and processes across an operation.
