Our Client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke mechanical components and assemblies to the aerospace industry.
Role Description:
Reporting into the Chief Engineer Stress, the role of Stress Engineer involves performing mechanical design analysis and calculations of components and assemblies for the Aerospace industry.
The key responsibilities within this role are:
- To provide stress calculations both by hand and via FEA (Nastran) models to substantiate loads / sizing of components.
- Analysis of results gained from physical & Structural testing and the production of reports.
- Structural analysis on design engineering change proposals to ensure correct loads for product integrity and airworthiness.
Personal Specification:
You are a Stress Engineer or Mechanical Engineer with experience in performing stress hand calculations for the Aerospace sector. You will have good working knowledge of NASTRAN software in linear and non linear analysis.
As a Stress Engineer, you will have excellent knowledge of preparing stress reports, covering static fatigue and damage tolerance and have a background in metallic, composite materials and structures.
