Due to significant growth within the business, our client - a leading design and manufacturer of bespoke equipment - are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Role Description:
Reporting into the Principle Design Engineer, the role of Design Engineer involves designing highly engineered components and assemblies. The role will involve performing hand calculations to provide support to new products and existing product design changes. Key focuses will be to support and lead design reviews, identify design methods / techniques and document the design basis for each product and project.
Personal Specification:
You will be a degree qualified Mechanical Design Engineer with design background in special purpose design, injection mouldings, plastics, machining, fabrications or pressings. As Design Engineer, you will have experience of performing hand calculations such as hoop stressing, torsion, bolting, bending, and static calculations. Key attributes for the Design Engineer position are analytically strong, good problem solver and an effective communicator.
