Role Description: Role Description
Reporting into the Project Manager, the role of Project Engineer involves managing component level design and manufacture projects through the effective co-ordination of all functions from Sales, Design, Test, Manufacturing and Installation departments. The Project Engineer's main function will be to successfully managing design projects to meet customer requirements. The role will involve ensuring projects are planned, costed and managed to accurately maximise the project profitability and projects are delivered on time and too budget. The Project Engineer will get involved from inception with specification definition and feasibility right through to customer installation.
Personal Specification: Person Specification
HNC qualified in a Mechanical, Chemical (or related) discipline, you will have previous Project Engineering experience of managing component level design and manufacture based projects within a bespoke or batch manufacturing environment. Project Engineers with General Manufacturing, Plastics, Composites, Mouldings, Polymers or General Engineering (machining, fabrications, Welding etc) sectors would be most suited to this role. Project Profitability must appear high on your previous KPI's along with being commercially astute and a strong influencer 'to get the job done'. You will have sound knowledge of design engineering principles.
