Our client is an established, market leading manufacturing organisation to heavy industries.

Role Description:

Reporting directly into the companies Engineering Director, the role of Quality Manager role is key to the continued development of the companies quality function. The role has direct responsibility over the day to day management and development over a team of Quality Engineers / inspectors. The main function of the role is to ensure that quality plans are generated, implemented across the business and sustainable for each customer product type. Other key aspects of the role include;

Responsible for managing customer quality reviews. Also, it is key that relationships are developed with key customer contacts to ensure that any issues are also highlighted on a day to day basis and in-turn investigated.

Manage both internal audits and also have responsibility over external or regulatory audits.

Formulate product quality plans and publish across the business / supply to customer.

Successfully manage non-conformance activities across the feedback ensuring that the processes are robust / transparent and that processes are fully utilised across the business.

Personal Specification:

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, you will have an Automotive, Aerospace or General Engineering Quality Management background and have the ability to successfully improve quality product and process. The role is heavily customer focused so the candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of capability and success in a heavily customer focused environment.
