Role Description:

Reporting directly into the Sales & Marketing Director, the role of Commercial Manager involves controlling, managing and influencing customer tenders and bids through effective negotiation of policies and terms affecting the supply of product to overseas customers. The Commercial Manager will liaise closely with a team of Regional Sales Managers located across the world to ensure agreed terms maximise profits, reduce risk and improve customer satisfaction. Key objectives of this role are to ensure that all contract terms comply with Group Policy and to protect the company from exposure to unnecessary commercial risk. The role will also be instrumental in improving the success rate of accepted orders within the order review process and to reduce the time taken to turn bids / tenders into sales orders ready for process.
Personal Specification:
Person Specification
Ideally qualified to HND or Degree in an engineering or commercial discipline, you will be a Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager from the manufacturing sector. You must have strong contract and terms of business negotiation skills. You must have had previous experience of negotiating terms and should be familiar with letters of credit. You will be well versed in contract law and have strong influencing skills.
