Our client is a market leading, established manufacturing business.
Role Description:
Reporting directly into the Business Unit Manager, the role has direct responsibility over a team of 20+ skilled staff. The role is key to the continued development of the companies operations, key responsibilities for the role include;
- Increase departmental output against targets
- Develop team-leaders across the business both in terms of process & behaviour.
- Develop and implement an effective visual management system across the operation.
- Continually review all production related processes, identify issues and develop / implement subsequent corrective actions.
- Improve the flow of material into and through the department.
Personal Specification:
The ideal candidate will be a "hands-on" Production Supervisor who has a track record of successfully developing both team-leaders and the team as a hole. The candidate must have the capability to develop visual management systems and be directly responsible for identifying issues and implementing subsequent corrective actions. The candidate must be able hit the ground running and be able to make improvements from day 1 in a challenging environment. Ideally, the candidate will be from an assembly or machining background and will have real enthusiasm and a "think it, do it" attitude.
