Role Description: Reporting into the Sales Manager, the role of Proposals Engineer involves converting initial enquiries into technically and commercially specified quotations including lead-times, materials, tooling and costings in accordance with best practice. Key elements of this role will be to improve gross margins through more effective tendering and proposals management.
Personal Specification: Ideally qualified to HNC/HND in mechanical engineering, you will have proposals / tendering / internal sales experience within the mechanical engineering sector ideally with rotating equipment experience. Strong spreadsheet user, you will have strong organisational and projects skills together with good commercial awareness of margins and costs. You must have prepared tenders / proposals previously to be considered for this role.
