Role Description:

Reporting into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the role of production engineer involves managing the installation / relocation of process plant equipment. The Production Engineer will involve designing, specifying, procuring, supervising and expedite the manufacture of production equipment and implement a programme for the development and control of associated costs. The role of Production Engineer will also be responsible for developing processes to improve manufacturing efficiency and design layouts for production equipment.
Personal Specification:
Person
You will be a Project Engineer / Production Engineer qualified to HND level with experience of managing installation projects to time and cost targets. You will have a process (Food, Chemicals, Plastics, Polymers) or general engineering background (machining, fabrications) or equivalent and have experience of lean manufacturing techniques. Experience of using AutoCAD would be useful for the design of layouts.
