Job Description

Role - CNC Setter
Location - Stoke on Trent
Duration - Permanent
Salary - £14.80 per hour

Company

Our client specialises in manufacturing, maintaining and renewing specialised machines used for the manufacture of automotive components. They fully support and maintain the core business as well as their much newer Aerosol and Liquids filling business.

Their machines are used by leading brand manufacturers building parts for the OE market and the automotive aftermarket across the globe. Their manufacturing and service centre is based in a purpose-built facility the Midlands from which they manufacture, service and rebuild and support hundreds of individual machines

As a business, they can service, support and re-manufacture most machines from any original manufacturer, including one-off custom designs. We also develop tooling and work-holding solutions such as bespoke automated or semi-automated mandrels, jig and fixtures systems.

Role

  • CNC Milling & turning for the manufacture of high-quality components in various materials including - stainless steel, aluminium, carbon steels, alloys and plastic
  • Run multiple machines where possible to maximise productivity
  • Accurate use of measuring equipment
  • Read, understand and interpret engineering arrangement drawings, part lists and procedures
  • Performing quality checks on completed products
  • Compliance with Health and Safety and risk assessments

Candidate

  • Mechanical Engineering training
  • Knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
  • Time served in a similar role
  • Enthusiastic and committed to broadening technical skills and experience
  • Strong multi-functional team player with the flexibility to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work individually and pull together as part of a team
  • Excellent communicator
  • Willingness to do overtime when required in order to complete workbook
