Picture the scene. You're chatting with a mate who asks how work's going.

"Yeah good," you reply.

"Busy?" they ask.

You cast your mind back to the three hours you spent looking at cat memes on Facebook that day.

"Yeah, pretty busy," you say, hoping that's the end of the conversation.

Your mate then talks about what they've been doing. The amazing projects their company is working on. The glamorous locations around the world their products are used. The volume of projects they have lined up and how every day flies by in a blur.

You hate the fact that their work life sounds so much more exciting than yours.

A design engineer's role can be quite a solitary one but not in this case. You'll be working closely with sales, operations, purchasing and sitting within a very busy New Product Development team.

The company has a pipeline to develop a massive suite of new products over the coming years and need a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team and help them along. Their products are highly visible so form is as important as function and you'll be able to flex your product design muscles as well as your mechanical ones. They create some very good looking products and have a well-deserved reputation in the marketplace for their designs.

They use SolidWorks so would prefer someone who already knows how to use it, as they want the new engineer to drop straight onto a project.
