The role-

? Ensure that all site electrical instrumentation and control equipment is operating safely and at maximum efficiency.
? Proactively develops all necessary skills to maintain & troubleshoot the equipment
? Works towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop-mentality and reducing the maintenance costs including working capital reduction for spare parts
? Takes ownership for the overall site and working area (including boilers, water plant & effluent); monitors key maintenance KPIs such as breakdowns and has a strong service-department mind set towards the operations/ other departments
? Works securely with the expert maintenance tools (SAP-PM, SOP?s) and trains the teams in those
? Performs high quality Root-cause analysis for technical and process problems
? Supports and suggests and implements improvements (eg: safety, technology, process) and assures legal compliance on maintenance works
? Ensure basic electrical duties, ie: PAT and lighting checks are carried out
? Carry out operational, maintenance and lubrication duties for boilers, waterplant, compressed air, sprinklers and other facilities and services through the site.
? Site Building structures including ? HVAC, lighting, WC?s and internal building structures.
? Electrical switch room management.
? Roads/Grounds
? Fire detection/protection
? Site Security Services
? Site High Voltage equipment

The candidate-

? Significant E&I experience
? Completed a recognised electrical/instrument engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification
? Proven experience in maintaining complex automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
? Excellent trouble shooting skill, able to plan and work to tight timelines while managing several tasks
? Experience of PLC, DCS & QCS systems
? Experience in panel wiring
? Knowledge of process instrumentation
? Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic components

Good problem solving skills and the ability to get to the real root cause of issues are pre-requisites for this role, as are good communication and organisational skills.
