I’ve heard it said that Finance Managers are simply a company’s historians.
Maybe you disagree with that. Maybe you think a finance manager should be able to provide insight and analysis into what will happen, as well as what has happened.
Maybe you’re right. Our client certainly thinks so.
They need a finance manager like you. Someone who can solve complex problems within the business. Using your data analysis skills, you’ll be able to turn minimal data into insightful information for the FD, GM and SMT to use in the business. As such, you’ll enjoy communicating with all departments and love building strong relationships with your peers. The company sees this role as an intrinsic part of the business so you’ll be able to involve yourself with all the business activities.
As the company is a subsidiary of a large, global, manufacturing organisation, they are looking for their new finance manager to have substantial experience in a manufacturing environment. In particular, they are focused on improving their processes so will welcome your experience in improvement programmes or business process re-engineering.
The global business uses SAP, so they are looking for someone with an excellent working knowledge of it, particularly the BI module. They’ll also expect you to use Excel to a high level e.g. creating pivot tables and automating manual processes.
Maybe that sounds like the kind of challenge you’re looking for in your next role? So, why not get in touch with us on 01257 268273 to discuss further?
