Job Title: HR & Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
An aerospace components manufacturer based in Bolton are looking to recruit a HR & HSE Manager to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. You will need to support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. As well as supporting the HR function, you will also be responsible for all Health, Safety and Environmental issues, processes and procedures required for the business.
Within the Human Resources division you will oversee recruitment, where you will plan and manage the selection processes in conjunction with the management team, as well as interfacing with employment agencies. As well as recruitment, other aspects of HR are integral such as training and development needs for employees, which you will plan and work in conjunction with the managers to implement this.
And of course, HR wouldn’t be complete without managing and developing policies and procedures in line with regulations and best practice. You will be reviewing and updating employee rules and regulations and the company handbook, handling employee complaints, grievances, disputes and much more.
Ideally, you will have experience within HR as well as having knowledge of and a drive to improve HSE functions too, and in this particular role you will also be responsible for the coordination of employee safety and welfare and a knowledge of legal requirements. Maintaining BS 18001:2007 & ISO 14001:2015 standards will be key, as well as coordinating internal audits for HSE standards.
The company in questions are looking for someone with a HR qualification plus knowledge and/or a qualification in HSE too. The successful person will have the proven ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, coordination and confidence in advising both senior and junior management.
