The Role

As Human Resources & HSE Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a HR strategy and HSE policies and procedures across the site. You will have a professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver a consistent HR strategy which harmonizes policies and procedures in line with this approach which should aim to improve employee satisfaction, people development and reward for individuals across the business.

You will help to create an organisation structure and culture focused on optimizing employee performance and motivation to achieve goals. As Human Resources Manager, you will work with senior managers, coaching them and advising on all people issues and ensure the development of succession planning strategies and the design/delivery of planned learning experiences and programs, aligned to the achievement of business goals and budgets. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance to EU and in-country legislation in relation to employment law / human resources issues. Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement. Development/Coaching – Discuss, identify and deliver (where appropriate) career and development opportunities for employees and managers at all levels using a broad range of tools and activities e.g. coaching, career counselling, 360s and development events. You will drive HR deliverables to enable implementation of business strategy, using pan-European policies and resources. Contributing to the coaching of all line manages in performance counselling and team development processes and to making the client a safe workplace by ensuring that HSE training needs are identified and actioned by managers & staff.

The Candidate

As Human Resources & HSE Manager, you will hold a CIPD status to level 5 as a minimum or level 3 with experience of operating within a unionised manufacturing environment. From a HSE perspective, the client is seeking a NEBOSH certificate as a minimum or equivalent IOSH with experience of implementing HSE policies and procedures along with carrying out SSOW’s and risk assessments within a manufacturing environment.  Experience of managing a unionised environment, developing a HR strategy and coaching / mentoring others in people development are key aspects of this role.  

The HR Manager will lead and direct the Human Resource team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business, be confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.
