What do you think of the status quo?
By which I mean the idea of keeping things the same, not the slightly clichéd Brit rockers from the 70's and 80's. I preferred Sabbath anyway, but I digress.
Maybe you're working in a company that values the status quo and prefers to keep things the way they've always been.
Or maybe you know there's a better way. A way that challenges the status quo and strives for excellence in World Class manufacturing.
As a Maintenance Manager from the manufacturing sector, you'll know that companies can't stand still or they'll fall behind. You'll know that doing things the way they've always been done doesn't evolve the business and you'll get the same problems reoccurring.
How would you like to be the maintenance manager for a company that wants to change how they work? A company that wants to find the root cause of breakdowns and fix them permanently? A company that has a highly capable maintenance team who need a new leader?
They have a CMMS system that is need of some attention, so experience of setting up and running a system like Shire will be needed. You'll also need to be able to demonstrate the use of condition-based monitoring techniques like vibration analysis, oil sampling and thermal imaging.
One of their key measures is OEE so you'll need to know how to collect, calculate and utilise that data. They are currently going through a continuous improvement programme so knowledge of techniques like 5S, TPM will also be needed.
As for your background, heavy plant engineering, chemical processing and continuous process companies are all very relevant and appropriate for this role. Facilities management is less relevant as the focus for this role is on the production process plant.
So, if this is sounding of interest, please contact me and let's talk further on 01257 244740.
