What’s the Job?

Well, as you’d expect, it’s a multi-skilled maintenance role working on a variety of production machinery. Typical equipment on-site includes extruders, screw conveyors, pumps, compressors, drives, gearboxes. Although mainly focussed towards the production machinery, there could be the occasional requirement to work on the facilities e.g. HVAC systems.

The electrical requirements for the role aren’t excessive such as basic PLC fault finding. The key thing is your approach to the job. They are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who’ll take a proactive approach to maintenance.

The company have a £multi-million investment programme they are currently implementing so with the level of investment happening in the business, there is a real opportunity for you to make your mark and progress as the company grows further.

What are they looking for on your CV?

The key characteristics will be a formerly recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship. Experience of working on the types of equipment listed above is an obvious plus. Significant experience of working in the manufacturing industry is an absolute must and backgrounds that would work include Chemical, Plastics, Building Products and Food.
