The Role

Reporting into the Advanced Engineering Manager, the role of NPI Engineer will be responsible for the smooth transition of new products from the design function into manufacture. Key focuses as NPI Engineer will be to Project Manage the NPI process to ensure all milestones and deliverables are being achieved on time and to budget. As NPI Engineer you will facilitate cross functional activities and team work to achieve targets, track costs and take action if variation occurs. Other functions of the role will be to chair progress meetings ensuring all departments are aware of key milestones and deliverables for a successful project launch.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering and have strong project management skills. As NPI Engineer you will have a good understanding of manufacturing MRP Systems, strong interpersonal skills and a track record in achieving project targets within a faced paced production arena. You will have a hands on, practical approach with the determination and perseverance to succeed in a competitive environment. Good communication skills are a pre-requisite for this role as are excellent written and presentational skills. Knowledge of APQP, FMEA and PPAP methodologies tied in with an automotive background would be advantageous for this position.
