Role: Process Engineer
Commutable from: Preston, Blackpool, Leyland, Wigan, and Blackburn
Salary & Benefits: Up to £40,000
The role-
Reporting into the Operations Manager, the role of Process Engineer is key to the company’s process improvement programme and continued business growth. Key responsibilities of the role include;
- Identification of improvement opportunities across the business and the development of an implementation project plan. This involves working closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing and Senior Management teams.
- Direct responsibility for managing / facilitating CI projects across the business utilising lean tools such as kaizen, TPS, 5S, value stream mapping etc.
- Champion lean tools and techniques across the business. Implementing change and educating staff on all levels in specific lean tools and techniques ensuring buy in through clear explanation of benefits.
The person-
The candidate must have a successful track record of identifying & implementing lean manufacturing techniques (including kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping), within a manufacturing / assembly business. Experience of successfully leading & managing CI projects is also a pre-requisite of the role. The candidate must have excellent communications skills and have the ability to present and influence at all levels across the business. The candidate must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to business requirements whilst ensuring that all project plans are robust.
