Role: Project Engineer

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will be required to coordinate NPI and development projects from RFQ to PPAP.
The role is customer focused with regular interfacing to keep the customer updated with project progress by way of a weekly report. The Project Engineer will be required to chair regular team meetings (weekly/fortnightly) with a cross-functional team and liaise with application/design engineers and coordinate design/engineering workload as well as manage the action register and chase up on open actions. The Project Engineer will need to report effectively, with weekly highlight reports to engineering manager and manage time lines effectively to ensure that projects are delivered on time, the project stays on track according to timing plan and risks are managed effectively, escalating issues where required. The Project Engineer will also need to control PPAP documentation and ensure the quality and engineering departments provide relevant documentation for PSW submission including DV test reports, DFMEAs etc.
The ideal candidate will be Degree/HNC qualified in a Mechanical or Automotive Engineering discipline and have at least 3 years’ experience in an automotive component manufacturing environment.
