As a Project Engineer you may have become used to managing the same types of projects day in, day out, so are you now looking for a role where you can apply your skills to a wide variety of different projects in different companies?
My client is a provider of steel fabrications (mainly structural) into all industries. One day you could be meeting with a major automotive manufacturer looking at work holding jigs and fixtures for their internal production use or another day you could be looking at a platform or walkway for emergency exits.
Whatever the requirement, as a Project Engineer, you will be in charge of the whole project so there are a number of skills you'll need to demonstrate.
Firstly you'll need to be comfortable in visiting customers to discuss their requirements and construct a general arrangement drawing along with a fully costed proposal to accompany it. From the order being placed you'll then manage the production of detail drawings, BOMs and routings for issuing to the manufacturing team. You'll also need to liaise with sub-contractors for any bought out parts along with materials suppliers. Finally you'll work with the site teams carrying out the installation and handover to the customer.
My client is looking to build a team to carry on the business into the future so is offering a share ownership scheme, bonus scheme and a company car on top of the base salary.
So, if you fancy some variety in your daily routine, please get in touch with me to discuss this role in more detail.
