Job Description
The role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with large project industry experience, ideally within the Nuclear industry.
This project will be based in Bristol and will be working as part of the Hinckley Point C (HPC) project and other projects down the line.
The company I’m working with is a €40bn company with a €350m nuclear division operating throughout Europe.
The HPC project is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years, the site once completed will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, the project is due to be completed in 2025.
My client is providing electrical/mechanical design services for the HPC project.
This person will be the technical representative on the project locally, tasked with managing the technical risk on the project. You’ll also manage the customer relationship and make sure legal, technical and project delivery objectives are met. Monthly project reviews will be delivered and formal quarterly reports on commercial, technical and legal processes will be presented back to the team.
Personality-wise, the company needs someone with a strong work ethic and an ability to work on your own. Self-drive is very important in this role and good self-awareness and strong customer-facing behaviours.
Requirements:
- Experienced Engineer with a proven NEC project management background.
- Degree qualification is ideal in either mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Experience within the Nuclear industry is desirable but also would consider other EPC/large project industry experience.
- PDMS/3D design desirable but not essential.
