Quality Compliance Engineer
Someone once said to me “In the world of Quality two factors are often considered, those that merely satisfy and those that delight.”
I was never sure if that was one of his own phrases or if he’d recently had an upmarket Chinese meal with oddly specific fortune cookies but either way it’s a phrase that’s stayed with me for many years.
My client falls into the category of those who delight their customers with their approach to manufacturing quality systems and overall quality of product supplied. They are a long established business who have developed their excellent reputation through their commitment to delivering a high quality product within a relatively niche industry so this is a great time for you to join the business.
Despite being an SME they feel their quality management systems are comparable to those of a much larger company and are proud of the quality systems they have already developed and are looking to develop further.
This is where you come in.
As someone with a strong background in manufacturing quality you’ll have gained experience in implementing or improving your company’s ISO9001:2015, ISO14001 and ISO18001 management systems as a bare minimum. You’ll know how to write procedures and have knowledge of document control and internal/external auditing.
If you’ve worked in aerospace you could be well versed in the AS9100 standard (maybe even rev ‘D’) or if you’ve worked in automotive you’ll know how the TS16949 standards are applied and possibly have an understanding of the new IATF standards.
However, if you’re currently working in these industries you may feel you’re a small fish in a big pond and are looking to become a more visible player where you can have a direct input into a company’s systems and become a key part of their future success.
Wherever you’re currently working, an ability and desire to learn these systems will stand you in good stead as you will have an excellent mentor with my client’s quality manager who is prepared to invest significantly in you to develop you on your next step up to quality manager in the future.
If you’d like to discuss this opportunity further then please contact me directly and don’t worry if your CV isn’t up to date as I’d welcome a chat with you on 01257 244740.
