Job Title: Quality Manager

An additive manufacturing company that provides AM systems and materials to the market is committed to creating industrial solutions for the world’s top manufacturers and bridging the gap between 3D printing and machining.
The company is looking to hire a full-time experienced Quality Manager. They will be responsible for the company’s quality management system. This would be accomplished by overseeing the development and continuous improvement of a robust quality management system that conforms to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards. You would need to analyze the current quality management system, develop strategies and improvement projects, and conduct regular assessments of the quality management system. You should have experience in quality management or quality engineering role, be intimately familiar with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards & implementation thereof, communicate well up and down the chain of command, exhibit a high degree of ownership, and the ability to think critically and collaborate across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 certifications, & improving the company’s Quality Management System
- Organize regular internal audits of QMS
- Develop a document management system, implement a quality management software solution
- Develop quality control processes and quality metrics/reporting for other departments as needed
- Report corporate quality metrics to top management regularly
- Train production staff in proper production practices and quality assessment techniques
- Frequently assess and audit work processes for quality, efficiency & safety
- Ensure quality of supply chain including raw materials and consumable parts
- Make safety a priority at all times
Qualifications and Expectations:
- Previous experience in a related role: Quality Manager, Quality Director, Quality Assurance Manager
- Management experience and/or strong experience leading teams and managing projects
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; excellent interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 implementation, certification is a strong advantage
- Experience with lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
