Managing is never easy, however as an experienced manager you’ll agree that management brings an extremely rewarding feeling like no other. Would you like to bring your management skills into a new business who are looking for a new Quality Manager?
As the Quality Manager, you’ll lead new initiatives such as implementing SAP in the next 12/18 months. The company supplies OEM’s globally and you’ll be implementing a continuous improvement approach to develop the quality management systems.
When it comes to responsibilities there’s one word that should resonate with you, and that’s ‘Manage’. You’ll be managing all internal and external audit activities as well as managing problem resolution and continuous improvement activities. Following in the same trend you’ll also be managing customer feedback and concerns, alongside managing a team of engineers and technicians. So, you’ll fancy yourself as a very good manager.
You’ll be extremely process driven, being able to follow and implement processes. You’ll need experience in the automotive industry and have plenty of knowledge of quality improvement tools such as 8D, 4M and 5Y. Also having the ability to speak a second language is desirable but not essential (French/German/Japanese).
The company you’ll be working for likes to have an eye on the future, highlighted by them having a Brexit contingency plan. The plant you will be located at has 145 staff on site and is the most profitable in the group behind their Japanese plant. The turnover for the plant has doubled in the last 3 years, which outlines the performance levels. You’ll also enjoy travelling as you’ll be frequently going to Japan and other countries.
