Our client is seeking an additive manufacturing Sales Director for EMEA which involves driving AM machine sales for the region. The role will take responsibility for regional sales managers and be responsible for developing a strong sales strategy which maximises machine sales and margin.
The key responsibilities of the role include;
- Identify and gain new business at existing and target customers
- Responsibility for market analysis, forecast preparation, quotation submission and contractual discussions
- Monitoring KPI’s to ensure compliance with profitability objectives.
- Customer product and customer margin management
- Programme management with their nominated customers.
- Maintain awareness of competitor and competitive technologies
The successful candidate will be degree qualified within an engineering discipline and will have a proven sales track record within the additive manufacturing (AM) sector. As Sales Director you will have a demonstrable background in selling capital equipment and be able to understand the additive manufacturing application benefits and be able to position these from an engineering / manufacturing point of view with the customer. The ability to make business decisions, push for results and will be flexible and open minded to AM customer demands. Other requirements for this role are strong negotiating skills, the ability to priority set and have strong technical solutions sales approach. You must have a good working knowledge of additive manufacturing software and how AM software plays a pivotal role in producing additive parts for the end user. Our client would consider metals and polymer additive experience but must be from a capital equipment perspective.
