Additive Manufacturing (or 3D Printing as its widely known) is a relatively young technology, still in its infancy but revolutionizing the way we make and produce products.
More and more companies around the world are turning to AM as a viable option for production. So, in a market that’s still buzzing around the capabilities of AM, fresh ideas will be all around you.
As a Sales Director, you’ll be covering the U.S. so you’ll need to know your market. Understanding the technologies and benefits of Additive Manufacturing will prove important, as you will continue to analyze and understand the changing market trends and amending your strategy accordingly.
You’ll be visiting the major shows around the globe, meeting with customers face-to-face, as well as keeping an eye on the competition, which will allow you to stay that one step ahead.
Managing customer products and margins while maintaining a high standard will be expected, as well as monitoring KPIs and compliance with profitability objectives.
With reference to your experience, ideally, you will be degree qualified in an engineering discipline, allowing you to really understand the technicalities of the products that you’re selling. You will also need experience in selling capital equipment within AM and demonstrating the ability to make key business decisions.
